دار فور « DĀR FŪR »
— Status: Not democratic; not unitary.
— Structure: Partially-organized collection of rebel groups under military rule.
— Heads of government: مني مناوي « Min:ī Min:āŭī », عبد الواحد محمد نور « Cabd ɔal-Ŭāhid Muham:ad Nūr » (حتس « HTS »); جبريل إبراهيم « Ĝibrīl Ɔibrāhīm » (حعم « HCM »).
— Assessment: A western insurrection against السودان « ɔal-Sūdān », where fighting has persisted despite numerous peace agreements, and despite the 2005 peace agreement between and 2011 official separation of north and south. The جنجويد « Ĝanĝaŭīd », backed by السودان « ɔal-Sūdān » North, have committed atrocities against the African inhabitants; around 100,000 have been killed. In 2006, the largest armed group in the revolt, the حتس « HTS » – مناوي « Min:āŭī », reached a peace agreement with السودان « ɔal-Sūdān » North, but the حعم « HCM » originally rejected the deal, as did the حتس « HTS » – نور « Nūr », with fewer fighters, but representing the largest ethnic group, the Fòòra. A drive by حعم « HCM » in 2008 captured part of metropolitan خرطوم « Xartūm » but was eventually driven back. In 2010, it agreed to a peace deal with السودان « ɔal-Sūdān » North, but was soon fighting again; in 2011, the leader of the حعم « HCM », خليل إبراهيم « Xalīl Ɔibrāhīm » (brother of جبريل « Ĝibrīl »), was killed in another advance on الخرطوم « ɔal-Xartūm ». Smaller rebel groups made peace with الخرطوم « ɔal-Xartūm » in 2011, but the main groups formed the جثس « ĜÞS » later that year.
