— Heads of government: Eliécer Erlington Chamorro Acosta (Antonio García); Francisco Galán.
— Recent history: The ELN, like the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia, controls territory recognized as Colombia, through brutal violence. Also like the FARC, it threatened those who voted for Álvaro Uribe. It is, however, a much smaller operation than the FARC.
